Crochet hook n.º3 (US-D) and yarn

Gauge: 22 sc - 10cm

(With the yarn that I worked and this gauge, the sole of my bootie ended with 10 cm. Check this chart on wendyknits to see baby foot sizes. I hope it will help!)

5ch and join in a circle. Work in spirals.

1. 5sc in circle
2. 2sc in each ch = 10
3. (sc*1, 2sc*1)*5 = 15
4. (sc*2, 2sc*1)*5 = 20
5. (sc*3, 2sc*1)*5 = 25
6. (sc*4, 2sc*1)*5 = 30
7. (sc*5, 2sc*1)*5 = 35
8. (2sc*1, sc*5)*4, 2sc*1, 28 ch that will join the first sc, leaving 10 sc in between
9. (sc*5, 2sc*1)*4, sc till the end
10 to 15. 60sc
Cut the yarn.

We worked towards the sole, now we start working the upper part.
With the 10 remainig sts in front of you (see row number 8), start working in the left corner. As we want to create more or less a circle work 1sc, 28sc, 1sc. (this 1´s sc are to compensate the shape at the corners)
Work 14 rows of 40 sc.
Picot at the end.

Sole:
Chain 16
1. 1sc in 3rd chain from the hook, 12sc, 3sc in same ch; on the other side, 12sc, 2sc in same ch
2. 2sc*1, 12sc, (2sc*1)*3, 12sc, (2sc*1)*2
3. 36sc
4. (2sc*1)*2, 12 sc, , (2sc*1)*6, 12sc, (2sc*1)*4
5 . 48sc
6. (2sc*1, 1sc*1)*2, 12sc, (2sc*1, 1sc*1)*6, 12sc, (2sc*1, 1sc*1)*4 =60
Cut yarn.

Put the two parts together, working a row of sc.

That´s it!

Marionetas Mandrágora

Foi com muito prazer, que comecei a construir a teia, que é usada neste figurino, como acessório.

Esta teia vai crescer, como acontece a tudo o que rebenta na Primavera.



A peça, é das Marionetas de Mandrágora, e chama-se O Jardim - Tomo I - A Primavera. Foi criado para crianças a partir dos três, e é dedicado à linda e ladina Catarina.

A encenação e interpretação é da Filipa Alexandre (que tenho o grande grande prazer de conhecer), e que desenvolve um trabalho extremamente interessante com marionetas.

As instruções estarão em inglês, porque houve muita gente no flickr que pediu. Espero que a minha tradução não tenha muitos erros... Qualquer dúvida não hesitem em perguntar!

Crochet hook n.º3 (US-D), yarn and two buttons.

Chain 16.
1. 7sc (starting on 3rd ch from the hook), 1hdc, 5dc, 3dc (worked in the last ch)
On the other side of the chain work, 5dc, 1hdc, 7sc, 3sc (in the same ch to turn around) = 32
I´ve marked this chain with a bit of yarn, in order to keep in track, the beginning of the rows.
2. (13sc, 2sc*3)*2 =38
3. (13sc, 2sc*6)*2 =50
4. 13sc, (2sc*1, 1sc)*3, (1sc, 2sc*1)*3, 25sc = 56
5. 56sc
6. 56sc
The sole is ready.
From row7 to row11, work on back loop.
7. 56sc
8. 56sc
9. 14sc, (sk1, 2sc)*6, 24sc
10. 13sc, (sk1, 1sc)*6, 25sc
11. 13sc, (sk1,1sc)*3, 25sc
12. 8sc, ch1, turn
13. 30sc, ch1, turn
Left shoe:
Work 5 rows of 30sc, then ch12
Right shoe:
Work 4 rows of 30 sc. Cut the yarn. Ch12 and continue to row5.
Work sc.
On row7 do the buttonhole in 2sc space.
On the end of row8, cut the yarn.
As embelishment and to mark the sole, work a row of sc, on row6, with the top of the shoe facing you.
Sew the buttons and weave all ends.
It´s done!

O meu computador esteve a dormir outra vez...

Hoje, fiz bolachas de laranja. Já não fazia bolachas há muitos anos.
Sabia-me sempre tão bem, ir depenicando a massa ainda crua, no tempo em que a mesa da cozinha da minha mãe, ainda me dava pelo queixo...

Gosto da casa a cheirar a bolachas, a pão...

A Victória não gostou da massa crua, mas deliciou-se longamente com uma das bolachas gigantes.

Foi bom estar na feira do parque da cidade.
Os trabalhos em exposição eram muito interessantes.
