Finished project!

Just finished one of the crochet projects I was working.
It´s a very fun to do capelet. The pattern is from Interweave magazine and can be found here.
I used Rosarios4 yarn, a brand called Picasso, and I´m quite happy with the result. Not very sure about what kink of clothes will suit, trousers or skirt?...

Back again...

After two weeks of hard work, the company is in risk of closing the door. It´s being so hard to keep financially the structure...
And there is such lack of cultural politics.... Well...

Victória is growing beautifully, so much energy in a such a tiny body. She experiments everything, she talks so much and she has such wish to express herself.

I´m starting a new crochet project. A lovely dress for
Victória
. I think this colourful piece will suit her spirit!

I´ve found this days, a worderful site called
The Toy Maker. It has a very vintage look. And this is the text that explains what it is about.

"Welcome to my odd, little world of paper toys, holiday cards, valentines, sun boxes,

baskets and bags, origami and ephemera... all for you to make.

My goal is to help grownups and kids spend time together making things.

It is my wish to amuse and delight.

Enjoy,

Marilyn."

GREAT!

Claudia arrived!!

Claudia arrived from London! ( People say we look like sisters...)
We have a full week to share.
Carla took the photos, at a sunday afternoon at Palácio de Cristal.
We went to meet Paulo, Ana and Joca.
Victoria had a great time runing after the birds, and stayed for a long time at a stranger´s table, she prefered to explore the strangers´s purse than my lap... WEll...

Babette blanket

Originally uploaded by the purl bee.

In The Purl Bee, between tips about knitting, crochet or sewing, there is a blanket tutorial.
The blanket is beautiful and what I found more interesting, is the fact the squares are all different sizes.

Let´s get it on our hooks!

Another vintage pattern

This is another pattern that I love, and that I´m wishing to get it on my needles.
I´m always fascinated about 20´s hats.

This is the first one I did. I was very happy with it.
It´s on someone else´s head now...

Vintage knitting

I can´t stop being fascinated about vintage patterns.
I alwayl liked grandmother´s clothes and purses, forgotten coffers and second hand shops.
Victorian patterns, from the 20´s, 40´s, 50´s, purses, hats, necklaces, dresses, eveything.
I use to search them on the internet... And I had found very interesting ones.

This site for example, is full of what I expect to be future projects of mine. In a nice way, you can choose one of yhe patterns for free. I chose Sample n. 3 (Bolero/Wrap). The one in the picture above.
I love it!

And what about purses, this one goes to a friend.
And this one is for me...
